This topic/thread is for me to say welcome to newcomers and/or for you to introduce yourself to the other AKT students
N tɔgɔ ko Coleman. I’m the teacher behind An ka taa — I work with learners from all over the world who are studying Bambara, Jula, or Maninka for different reasons: family, research, travel, music and more.
If you’re new to this space, feel free to say i ni ce and introduce yourself below. Keep it simple and share the following:
• Where you’re based and/or from originally
• What you’re learning (Bambara, Jula, or Maninka, etc)
• Why you’re interested in the language and/or West Africa
No pressure to share a lot. Just a few words is enough to let me and others know you’re here

We are testing things out, so you don’t need to write a formal post to respond to this message, but if you reply/post back, I will know that you see the distinction between chat messages and Forum posts (and perhaps you will have some feedback if it’s confusing or doesn’t work well – let me know if you respond via mobile/phone or from desktop)

You are back in the Forum and you are “tester” with access to this private test space and the associated chat channels.
This is just a test, but if you could drop a quick post here to introduce yourself to @Caroline and @Bettina (fellow testers and AKT students who who may know from the Discord server), that would be nice I will know that you see the distinction between chat messages and Forum posts (and perhaps you will have some feedback if it’s confusing or doesn’t work well – let me know if you respond via mobile/phone or from desktop)
Hi Coleman, I can see the distinction between chat messages and Forum posts. But when I am in the chat messages, it’s not clear at first sight how to get back to the Forum. I have to click on the left side of the black area (see attached screenshot).
Also I remarked (as Caroline already mentioned) that I cannot see your introduction text, while writing my introduction.
