Sɔgɔma fatɔya

NOTE: This is a little test. It’s a practice text and prompt that is a bit more like an optional activity. The text might be difficult, but let me know what you think, @Bettina @Caroline @Serge!

Tuma dɔw la, ko bɛ ɲagami!

Bi sɔgɔma yɛrɛ, n taara ni n denmuso ye ka di à ka “nounou” (‘nanny’ anglais-kan na) ma. An taara ni an ka “pousette” (‘stroller’) fitinin ye.

Nounou nin bɛ baara kɛ ni denbaya fila ye: ne ta ani dɔwɛrɛ ta. O kɔrɔ ko à bɛ den fila mara. N yɛrɛ den min tɔgɔ ko Sue ani denmuso wɛrɛ min tɔgɔ ko Rose. Don dɔw, nounou b’olu mara an fɛ. Don dɔw, à bɛ olu mara denbaya wɛrɛ nin fɛ. O de b’à sɔngɔ nɔgɔya an bɛɛ ye!

N’an bɔra yen, bi, n sera denbaya wɛrɛ fɛ tuma min na, nounou ko n ma: “I nana ni “poussette” belebeleba ye?”

Sue ani Rose fila bɛ se ka don poussette belebeleba nin kɔnɔ. An y’à san walasa baara bɛ nɔgɔya nounou ma.

N ko: “Ayi! N ma n’à ye. Nka n bɛ se ka segin so k’à minɛ.”

N kɔseginna so. N y’à ɲini fo ka dɛsɛ. Jaa, à tɛ! Pousette belebeleba nin bɛ so fɔlɔ kaban nka an tun m’à ye :sob: O kɔfɛ, n taara nounou fɛ tuguni ka an poussette fitinin bila yen walasa n bɛ se ka Sue minɛ kɔfɛ.

À kɛra sɛgɛn ye!

Aw ka sɔgɔma tun bɛ cogo di bi? Yala nin ɲɔgɔn ye aw sɔrɔ ka ye?

I ni ce! Nin mana nin kalan diyara n ye. n ko pousetti belebeleba bɛ se ka tunun cogo di ? :joy: Ala kan’a ɲɔgɔna i sɔrɔ. wa ɲininkali bɛ n bolo, kɔr’i bɛ kuma Sue ye bamanakan na ?
o mana bɔ yen, ka i jaabi, ayi sɔgɔma fatɔya ma n sɔrɔ bi, Ala k’an kisi o ma

I ni ce, @malikdiallo

  • À man ca ko n bɛ kuma à ye bamanankan na. Komi n ye Amerikika ye ani an bɛ Faransi, n ka laɲini fɔlɔ ye à ka anglais-kan dege k’à fɔ

An bɛ mɔgɔ caman fo sirada la bamanankan na

  • You might want to change the structure a little bit because the underlying structure Ala kana X i sɔrɔ doesn’t quite work, I don’t think. Your sentence literally reads like “May God not its similar you get”. That is, there are two direct objects (à ɲɔgɔnna and i). Instead, I’d try something something Ala kana à kɛ à ɲɔgɔnna bɛ/ka i sɔrɔ (“May God not make it [that] its similar gets you”)
