I ni ce! It’s not easy for me for make out his words, but I think it was to do with the fact that he is singing in what sounds like Mandinka as opposed to Bambara, Jula or Maninka. I see that Momi Maïga is from Senegal, so that makes sense.
I can tell you however that “Kanu” means ‘Love’
