I heard " kunadiya" or something similar in an Oumou Sangare song. Is it something like: kun na diya, like an expression for joy ?

I think that you are looking for kunnadiya (sometimes spelled kunnandiya). It’s in the dictionary :slight_smile:

It’s generally translated as “luck” (in the positive sense of “good luck”), but the exact rendering in English depends, as always, on the context! :upside_down_face:
