I ni ce, @Ayshata !

I am projecting the ending from farin(man), spicy; timi(man), sweet

The ending is -ma because kɔgɔ is a noun. I made your initial post into a Wiki post to edit it since it’s a proposed dictionary update. Hope that’s ok!

That’s fine, thanks.

There’s a verb 'ka kɔgɔ’that I remember as when millet powder has been worked / rubbed with a little water in a calabash bowl to form ‘pearls’ (as versus pearl millet) and then the calabash is sort of whacked with the hand to help the pearls form, before drying overnight to make porridge in the morning. It seemed to refer to helping the pearls form or set with the whack. A one-time memory.

Yes, sounds like the verb ka kɔgɔ (High tone; it’s in the dictionary — the word for “salt” is low tone) which means “to ripen; to mature; to take form”. Very cool to see how it appears in context for working millet powder
