This question came in from @marija via Discord as part of a homework assignment, so I am cross-posting it here for testing purposes
I wanted to say: “I try to do every day half an hour of spining bike”. We can use lajɛ? Don bɛɛ n bɛ spinning nɛgɛso kɛ lɛrɛ tilance lajɛ… (?)
The verb k'à lajɛ
is more literally “to look at sth”, so you can use it to say “to try” like the sense of “I will have a look” in English, which can mean something like “I will try it out”.
But for cases where you want to say “to try” in the sense of “to strive to do sth” like you do here, I would say try the verb k'à ɲini
(Lit. “to seek sth”). Like:
N b’à ɲini ka nɛgɛso boli don bɛɛ
“I seek to ride/drive a bike everyday”
