“Fàkan” (fakan.ml) is a website written entirely in Bambara. Set up kind of a like a mini-wikipedia of sorts, it has pages for a wide range of topics, including towns, countries, poems, history, general knowledge, sports, culture, and tales. The site was created and is run by Issiaka Ballo, a researcher and computer scientist who has worked extensively on promoting Bambara.
The writing system used is Latin-based with some tone marking: the first low tone of words is marked with a grave accent (e.g., “kàramɔgɔ”). The orthography is not always 100% standard. You’ll notice features like dropped initial vowels (“tle” instead of “tile”) and the use of “ʃ” for the “sh” sound.
I added the site to running General Resources page of An ka taa, but I wanted to share it here too
