Don't touch the crocodiles

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a translation of “don’t touch the crocodiles in Mandinka” . In Bambara I am fairly certain you would say “kana maga bama la” . One of our guides yesterday said it in Mandinka but it was quite different and we didn’t fully catch it. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Phil

Your Bambara rendering is 100% right, but I myself can’t confidently say for Senegambian Mandinka.

Perhaps @Kamaradeni can help? I’ve also asked some RPCVs that I know. Let’s see if the jump in here!

Hello! In Senegambian Mandinka the phrase would be pretty similar: “Kana maa bambo la”
