Where are you getting the translation “trustworthy” from? I don’t think it applies to the word “nbendia”.
I had a look and see that the song is from an album called “Danama”, which is translated as ‘digne de confiance’ in this article.
This album title looks like it is likely “Dannamaa”, which can be broken down like this:
da-n-na-maa
lay.down-me-upon-person‘a trustyworthy person’
This noun is built form the verb da/la and its use with the postpositition la to express the idea of believing or trusting something:
ka da fɛn na
‘to trust/believe sth’
Lit. “to lay.down upon sth”
PS - I would add that I think that “Nbendiya” is actually “N bɛ n diya” (Lit. “I please myself”, as in, “I take pleasure (in doing X)” or “I enjoy myself”
