Beat around the bush

How can I translate “beat around the bush” into Bambara?

I’m thinking of a context like this:

John isn’t very direct. He’s always beating around the bush. I wish he’d just tell me straight up.

In Bambara, I was thinking that we could use the verb ka musalaka/musalaha, which is listed as “be hypocritical in one’s words” in Bamadaba.

Is there another expression that comes to mind for anyone?
